The Trainers

Sammy Trapani
Sammy has been a trainer for 20 years. He has competed in collegiate baseball, powerlifting, Olympic lifting, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He noticed injuries at 18 and now at 38, he has no ACL in the left knee and damage to both labrums in his shoulders. He changed modalities at 31 when he realized he had loss of movement and strength through the years. Once he was able to establish a better foundation for his body through Functional Patterns, he knew his calling was to reintroduce this training to his clients. With 11 years experience as an Endoscopic Specialist, he’s seen many surgeries with the naked eye and can use his knowledge to offer people ways to move toward being self sufficient humans pain free. Helping others take matters of their own health through Functional Patterns and allowing them an option without surgery is a huge goal of Sammy’s. He is grateful to work on his craft alongside his team and is eager to help clients see results they have never seen before.

Jackie Harwell
Jackie began her journey with FP as a client in 2017 and was immediately hooked. As a client for many years, she experienced firsthand how incorporating functional patterns in her regular routine could change the way she moved and felt. Functional patterns not only healed a torn labral tear in her hip that standard physical therapy could not, it was also one of the key factors in a milestone weight loss journey. This inspired Jackie to help others realize what functional patterns could do for them. If Jackie isn’t the instructor, you can find her working out right alongside you in multiple classes a week at the studio.

Staci Parnes
Born and raised in South Florida, Staci grew up playing various sports, which sparked a lifelong love for fitness and movement. She moved to Jacksonville to attend the University of North Florida, where she studied psychology and developed a deep interest in how fitness and movement positively impact mental health.During college, she explored a variety of fitness modalities to stay active, eventually becoming a yoga instructor. Her passion for growth led her to connect with Aaron, who became her mentor in Functional Patterns training. The methods transformed her life, improving her physical and mental well-being, and inspired her to dedicate her career to helping others feel better in their bodies and minds.

Megan Allen
Meg found Evolve Performance after years of dealing with chronic back pain and struggling to find a training style that truly worked for her body. With a background in dance, movement has always been a big part of her life, but functional training helped her rebuild strength and feel good again—inside and out.
Now, Meg is passionate about sharing that with others. She takes a holistic approach to health, blending physical and mental well-being. When she's not at the gym, you’ll find her at the beach, playing pickleball, walking local trails or diving into anything related to naturopathic medicine and wellness. Let’s train, grow and feel good together!

Kailyn W.
Kailyn is a Jacksonville, FL native, Auburn University graduate, and someone who’s passionate about helping others live pain-free, functional, and healthy lives.
She earned her degree in Finance from Auburn and currently works full-time in data sales—a career she truly enjoys. She loves the fast-paced environment, the problem-solving, and the chance to connect with people every day. But outside the office, she's always had another passion: health, nutrition, and fitness.
Kailyn has kept a consistent workout routine for most of her life, but like many people, she's had her share of setbacks from old injuries and broken bones to chronic lower back pain caused by overtraining and improper form. That pain eventually led her to Evolve, and it completely changed the way she moves and trains.
Not only did Functional Patterns help her live pain-free, it also reignited her passion for fitness in a deeper, more sustainable way. Kailyn discovered how much she loves coaching and guiding others through their own fitness journeys, helping them move better, feel stronger, and avoid the mistakes she once made.
Whether you’re recovering from pain, looking to move more efficiently, or just want to train smarter, she's here to help!

Megan Haycook
Megan was raised right here in Jacksonville Beach and is a proud graduate of Florida State University (Go Noles!). Growing up playing competitive soccer, health and fitness have always been a big part of her life. Over time, that interest evolved into a true passion—especially as she began searching for a way to stay active and feel her best after stepping away from competitive sports.
Like many people, Megan tried it all—strength training, cycling, running, HIIT, yoga, Pilates—you name it. But no matter what she did, she'd end up bored, burned out, injured, or some combination of the three. She struggled to find something that not only kept her motivated, but actually delivered sustainable results.
That’s when Megan discovered Functional Patterns. It gave her everything she was looking for: the muscle-building benefits of strength training, the cardiovascular gains of running and cycling, and the postural stability of Pilates—without the constant cycle of injuries and fatigue. And yes, it’s actually fun.
If that sounds like something you're looking for, or if you're feeling stuck in your own health and fitness routine, come take a class with her! Let's work together to help you move better, feel better, and enjoy your workouts again—while getting real, lasting results.
